Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year, or until you clear your browser's cookies.

Embedded content from other websites

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

  • Your email address is shared with Mailchimp if you subscribe to our newsletter.
  • If you donate to us, your email address is shared with Paypal

Other than these third-parties, we do not share your data with anyone.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

If you donate to us, we retain the collected information indefinitely.

If you submit a web form to contact us, your submission information will be emailed to us and we will retain that for as long as needed. A copy of the original submission email is saved in the website database for 14 days.

How do we protect your data

We consider your privacy and the security of your data as highly important. We have implemented standard best practices on website and database security to protect your data. These practices include encrypted communications between the website, your browser and our third-party services; limited administrative access to the website database; high level of password hygiene for administrators and website managers; regular monitoring of our website and hosting server security.

What rights you have over your data

You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us by submitting a comment, subscribing to our newsletter, or by making a donation.
